Caitlin & Liam got married at the beautiful GG’s Yard in Dumfries & Galloway on a lovely misty morning in June. With the girls getting ready upstairs, I had a wander around the venue and it was styled beautifully!

With beautiful flowers by Belles and Thistles, the ceremony area smelled amazing, as did the reception area!

During the ceremony, Caitlin and Liam wanted to incorporate a Scottish tradition of hand fasting, as well as drinking out of a quaich, which is a traditional two handled cup. It’s also known as a love cup as you each take a handle to take a drink!

Even though it was a grey, misty day – we got some lovely photos outside, with the views in the background – a place that was very important to the couple. They also had some festoon lights in the grounds by a fire pit!

GG’s Yard is famous for their local gins, and they had some specialty gin cocktails ready for the guests – I tried an orange blossom gin which was delicious! After some emotional speeches, the party got started with a lively ceilidh band Chasing Lights getting the guests up and dancing!

Congratulations Caitlin & Liam and thank you for having me along to capture your day! Check out their wedding below 😍
