Laura & Chris said they wanted a relaxed outdoors wedding, filled with yellow brollies, pineapple cocktails, Sri Lankan street food and yellow striped deck chairs. Somewhere that was outdoors and in a walled garden was high on their wish list! Joining the girls for bridal prep, Laura’s beautiful Melissa Sweet dress was hanging in the window alongside some stunning botanical inspired bridesmaid dresses from H&M & ASOS.
As I was photographing her jewellery, Laura told me the story about her engagement ring, which was a beautiful and handmade that Chris designed, and had the backdrop of London, but slightly too big for her finger! On one trip away, it had slipped off her finger and landed into a field and even getting on hands and knees and searching, they couldn’t find it. As the sun was setting, they managed to get someone with a metal detector and found it the next morning!
Their reception was held at the local Pythouse Kitchen Garden, which was a short walk through the forest and decorated with yellow pom poms to guide the way. It was decorated with locally sourced flowers, and had the most beautiful hanging dried flower centrepiece overhead.
The evening ended with a ceilidh in the garden, and a impromptu first dance to some classic Motown music <3
