Courtney & Dan got in touch with me early this year, to explain they were having a small family wedding at Tudor Barn in Essex. Having never been to that side of the country, I said a massive yes!
The morning started off with hair and makeup, and after I captured details I headed over to where Dan was getting ready. Showing me the garden set up for later in the day, he sat down to read Courtney’s letter, which I also photographed Courtney’s when I headed back to see the girls – her beautiful dress by Jesús Peiró was so lovely on her – classy and relaxed – perfectly fitting for their day
Tudor Barn is a beautiful venue 16th Century gem, filled with history and even has its own medieval moat! When I say these guys were prepared with the confetti, they were PREPARED! Bloody love so much confetti 🎉🎉
After the ceremony, we took 15min away from everyone, and did some couple photos in the gardens of the venue – which were out in Summer bloom! After some drinks, and some very fun family photos (because why have boring formal photos!) we headed back to the family house, and everyone gathered outside for a sunny relaxed BBQ afternoon.
They had a rustic barn built for the occasion with hay bales and candles – family members showed me the wedding planning scrapbook that was made, which was filled with photos, funny stories, and memories from lockdown (because planning a wedding during a pandemic is always a weird one!)
