Somerset Wedding Photographer
Carissa and Joel’s summer wedding at the beautiful Stourhead was an amazing day to photograph this year! It’s such a historic venue (and one of my favourites!) with amazing views, and such a treat you can have your ceremony outside with a beautiful backdrop.
Carissa began the day getting ready, looking stunning in her Marchesa Bridal gown, beautifully altered by The Bridal Pixie and Ashleigh Jay Embroidery, with additional ombre pink petals showering down the dress – so beautiful!
As the music started to play, Joel waited patiently at the top of the aisle, and what a location, with the Temple of Apollo in the background, and gorgeous flowers by Copper Green Flowers adorning the space, even ascending up the pillars – so elegant and smelled so good!
After the ceremony, everyone gathered to cheer on the newelyweds with some amazing confetti. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, with handcrafted gin cocktails by Scout and Sage Gin and a spread of gourmet delights from Wild Fig Bath and Feast Brothers.
We had a walk around the gardens to take some photos, and what a great time of the year for the florals and foliage – even though I’ve been there a number of times, it’s always so nice to see how everything has changed during the different seasons. When you get married at Stourhead, the wedding couple are allowed to stand on the Palladian bridge, which makes for some stunning photos ♡
Huge congratulations to Carissa and Joel! If you’re planning your wedding and still searching for a Somerset wedding photographer, feel free to get in touch — I’d love to hear about your plans!
