Stourhead Wedding //
One of my favourite films is Pride & Prejudice, especially the most recent 2007 one with Keira Knightly. They filmed a famous scene at Stourhead, and it had been on my to do list to go visit for so long, so I was REALLY excited to photograph this wedding!
Charlotte arrived at the church in a eye-catching vintage red Jaguar, which definitely caught the attention of the nearby members of public walking around! Stourhead means a lot to them personally, and Rich and his dad, who had passed away the year previously, had spent many trips cycling around the grounds growing up. They wanted to have a classic English garden feel to their day, along with a few nods to Rich’s love of cycling.
Charlotte’s dress was a beautiful Naomi Neoh blush gown from Mirror Mirror in London, and it flowed so well in the breeze as we walked to some iconic areas around the grounds. It was a bit of a walk to the great steps on the other side of Stourhead, but they were both really happy to give it a go, we chatted along the way and got some amazing shots of them and the surrounding countryside. Once they got back, they mingled amongst their friends and family, with glasses of bubbly from the nearby prosecco van(!!!)
The reception room was decorated so lovely, and as Charlotte is a teacher, her students had helped out a little as you can see by the vases of flowers :)
Boogying the night away, they had their first dance to Coldplay’s live version of ‘Yellow’ and as Chris Martin counted down, the bridesmaids set off huge confetti cannons, covering them in yellow glittery stars as a surprise!
Below are a few of my favourite images from the day 💕
