Scotland Elopement Photographer
Ah Scotland! You’ve been epic and breathtaking every time I visit. This trip included meeting Heather & Adam an hour south of Inverness at a lovely little eco-cabin called The Lazy Duck.
To get away from it all, the stress of planning, the task of guest lists and budgets – the idea of escaping all that, and making the day just about the two of you is what appeals the most. Heather & Adam decided on their dream day to be about what matters the most to them;
A beautiful setting, close friends, good food and drink and no stress!
They had 2 friends join them for the weekend, to be their witnesses and it was really low-key and intimate ceremony when the registrar joined them in the afternoon
Getting ready together in their own cabin, Heather & Adam chatted with me about how they met, and personal touches they were bringing to their day – jewellery, a traditional Scottish kilt and a wedding dress that was comfy and easy to move around in – perfect for hiking and climbing over a stile to get to your ceremony field!
Thankfully the rain held off the whole day, but the cloudy and overcast weather was really nice to shoot in – We all didn’t notice it was about 2 degrees either! It had snowed a few inches the week before so thankfully it had started to melt enough for us to move around.
They said some beautiful and emotional vows to each other, and overlooked a beautiful field of forestry – there wasn’t another soul around!
Congratulations Heather & Adam! It was really special to capture your elopement and lovely to be a part of your day ❤️
