Pennard House Wedding //
Helen & John had a fab wedding over the summer – I arrived to John chilling out with his groomsmen, sipping on some Bath Ales in the gardens, while Helen getting ready upstairs in a gorgeous bedroom with her bridesmaids. Her dress was one of my favourites this year, it being a two piece that reminded me of The Great Gatsby, and nothing too structured, just beautiful, relaxed and flowing! I also loved the matching bridemaids bags too! They had a trusty polaroid camera to take some fun snaps throughout the morning and in the evening, had set up a DIY photobooth which went down a treat.
As the ceremony was coming to a close, the heavens opened and they opened heavy, keeping all the guests inside for a little while longer, while I managed to run in the rain to get ahead of everyone, dodging the trees and raindrops! Thankfully it only lasted 10 minutes, and the fantasic duo, The Hornbeams peformed as Helen walked down the aisle, and entertained the guests afterwards as they chatted and drank Pimms in the sunshine.
Pennard House is a beautiful venue in the middle of Somerset, and they have some tipi’s in the gardens with fairy lights so I grabbed Helen & John to get some late evening pictures, which I love! They have a festival Glastonbury feel to them 😍
They had 6 flamingos hidden around the grounds for guests to find on a treasure hunt (which I managed to find throughout the day – Evidence below! 😆) and a small fire pit with marshmallows (amazing!) I was telling some of the younger guests about my BBQ markshamllow hack: you buy a pack of Rolos, halve a marshmallow and stick a Rolo inside – BAM! Chocolaty gooey yumminess.
Thanks to Tess & Jess at Pennard House for keeping everything running smoothly, and feeding me some amazing food!!
Congratulations Helen & John, and I hope you enjoy reliving your day with the previews below! x
