Izzy & Josh got married in Monmouth in a wonderfully scenic area of the country – close to their hearts. Here’s more from them to explain their day!
The venue is very special to us as we spent two years at home during COVID and its where we got engaged! We are going for a very English country wedding vibe, quite traditional. So the flowers will be typically English countryside vibes. We wanted the marquee to be traditional and look great against the view of the Brecon beacons, we also have some great lighting in place for when it gets dark.
I wanted the décor to be rustic but fun, as we have a natural green colour scheme. We have a giant disco ball and black and white dancefloor, which I hope will look great in photos. I want the day to be about people having fun and laughing. We love candid portrait pictures of people enjoying themselves (hopefully in the sunshine). The church is special as its where I grew up and is very pretty!
My dress just fits with the vibe of the day. Looking forward to celebrating with all our nearest and dearest and dancing the night away!
Isn’t her dress amazing, one of the most epic dresses that Dress: – Justin Alexander designs, with the big wow factor bow at the back, and she also wore pearl drop platform heels from Jimmy Choo. Her bridesmaids dresses were a lovley shade of olive green, while the guys suited up in their trousers and jackets ready for the day ahead.
They had a wonderfully big tent for their guests to celebrate with them, with the day planned by Dheyna at Smitten Weddings, and one of my favourite moments was when the couple were announced in and their guests brought the place down, danced and waved their napkins, which promptly started a big singalong which went on for ages!
