Carlowrie Castle Wedding |
I remember getting an email from Jenna and Freddie and being SO excited about thier wedding plans!
And after a Covid delay, it was so worth the wait! From the moment I arrived, I knew that this was going to be a special day. The bride and groom were so calm and collected, and their energy was infectious. Bridal prep was full of laughs and gifts, with Jennas dress; a full dramatic dress by Hayley Paige, which really fit with the epic castle backdrop and deciding to get married in a beautiful outdoor setting of the venue, surrounded by gorgeous countryside. It was a breathtaking backdrop for a truly memorable occasion.
As the day wore on, I couldn’t help but be struck by the easy, effortless nature of the celebration. There were no fussy, elaborate decorations or stuffy formalities. Instead, everything was simple, and deeply personal. From the hand-written vows to the chair sign and personal touches to Jenna’s Dad, to their friends band in the evening, this wedding was a beautiful reflection of the couple’s unique personalities and relationship.
And of course, I was thrilled to be there to capture it all on camera. As a photographer, there’s nothing more rewarding than documenting a day that is filled with genuine love and joy. And that’s exactly what this wedding was all about – with Jenna’s Uncle Douglas walked her down the aisle and her Gran Sandra, was her flower girl – a lovely way to include their family in important moments. Especially Cooper (their dog) being their surprise ring bearer, and even though he had other plans and ran everywhere except where he was supposed to be, he was definitely a cutie to capture! As the happy couple walked back down the aisle, they had confetti cannons set off by their wedding party, which looked amazing!
In the end, I think that this wedding was a testament to the power of simplicity. By embracing a more relaxed and easygoing approach, the couple was able to create a day that was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
