A Winter Kin House Wedding
Kin House is a fairly new venue in the area, and only a 20min drive away from me! An effortlessly stylish place all year round, but in winter it really comes into its own. Cosy interiors, soft light, expertly run throughout the day. Poppy & Jordan’s winter wedding at Kin House was relaxed, elegant, and full of those in-between moments I love photographing ♡
The couple got ready in two beautiful areas of the house. Poppy got ready in the Dressing Room, with a very amazing bathroom, and views over the grounds (and a good place to spy on J as he was relaxing with his groomsmen for photos!) Jordan and his groomsmen then had some drinks in Fitz Bar while putting on their buttonholes and calming the nerves!
Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, and took place in the light-filled Garden House, surrounded by many amazing flowers and climbing plants, it’s really such a cool place to get married!
After the ceremony, guests moved into the wedding reception inside Kin House at Kilvert Hall. A large candlelit space, with warm seasonal styling, and cosy spaces created such a lovely atmosphere for speeches and celebrations.
Couple photos were around the lovely grounds, and the new shell encrusted pool house, which is a subtle nod to the house’s much-loved shell grotto. (Also loved photographing the couple here late in the evening!) Designed by Barlow And Barlow, it’s wrapped in a soft pink render and scattered with Welsh scallops, English cockles, and shimmering abalones ♡
As the evening rolled in, they had a surprise roaming band entertain everyone, while they finished their desserts, and the dance floor quickly filled up fast – with a fantastic bar close by, and custom couple cocktails ready for drinking! There’s something about a winter wedding that brings everyone together, and Poppy & Jordan’s day was a big party from early on in the day!
