A Dreamy Autumn Stourhead Engagement Shoot

Stourhead in autumn is nothing short of magical. With its vibrant oranges, reds, and golds, it’s like stepping into a painting—making it the perfect spot for an engagement shoot!

On a crisp, sunny morning, I met Allysa & Gareth to capture their love story among the beautiful landscapes of this National Trust gem. Once we arrived, there was a thick fog hanging low and you couldn’t see the other side of the lake! It was so moody and romantic. We started at the Palladian Bridge, where the calm lake reflected the incredible autumn colorus all around us, and the mist started to lift slowly! It was such a peaceful and romantic spot to kick things off. We also had a few photos outside the small Temple of Flora, and then we then walked to the Gothic cottage, which was decorated by Spring Hill Florals, with local pumpkins, dried flowers and autumnal touches – it was amazing! I also wanted to shoot Allysa & Gareth through the windows of the cottage which turned out really well.

From there, we wandered over to the Pantheon, surrounded by towering trees and carpets of fallen leaves. The combination of this stunning architecture with all the autumn vibes was just perfect. We got some gorgeous candid shots of the two of them walking hand in hand and the most incredible colours all around us.

Next, we headed up to the Temple of Apollo, perched high above the gardens. The golden autumn light filtering through the trees made everything feel so warm and cozy. Allysa & Gareth were so natural in front of the camera, and loved being back in the spot where he proposed the year before. Also big fans of Pride and Prejudice – we recreated the proposal moment in the film ♡

We ended the session high up at the lookout point with a great view of the Temple of Apollo
