Surprise proposal photography at Stourhead
Aaron got in touch a few months before his plans to propose, to ask if I could photograph the moment, but to also ask could some close family members also hide, and surprise his new fiancé soon after. What an unforgettable idea!
It was a quiet, misty morning when I arrived and exciting as I met the family in the reception area – chatted for a few minutes until we were driven to the Temple of Apollos easier access point (it’s quite the hike up otherwise!) as we waited for the couple to arrive.
Jisera was very surprised when the proposal happened, and even more shocked to find her family hiding behind the Temple, it was a great moment to capture! Lots of tears, hugs and questions “How long have you been in the same country?!” 😂
Afterwards, we took the walk around the gardens, taking in the sights and chatting all things period films and Bridgerton, as they had stayed in Bath the few days beforehand.
Congratulations to you both! Here are some of my favourite photos from that morning.
