Forget everything you thought you knew about winter weddings. This winter Elmore Court wedding in the Cotswolds, was pure magic. As a second shooter for this wedding, I ditched the usual angles, hunting for those unexpected shots that tell the real story.

It’s a dreamy venue. Lots of ancient stone glowing with fairy lights, gorgeous grounds and gardens, and roaring fires. The perfect backdrop for a November “I do.”

Grace Loves Lace were behind the stunning dress. Intricate, flowing, and totally bohemian chic, it was a showstopper. I loved finding unique ways to capture its beauty against the court’s epic features. Even if it’s just playing with veil, shots from behind or lifting the dress train up to move around.

The beautiful flowers were crafted by Amber Persia. Amazing beautiful works of art. Deep, rich winter hues and organic textures that perfectly blended with the season.

Being the second shooter is a great superpower on the day. It means I’m free to photograph those unscripted, candid moments, get really stuck in with guests during cocktail hour. A selfie with a friend, a burst of laughter from across the room, a magic trick that knocked the socks of someone, or a hidden detail of decor.

This was a warm, beautiful winter wedding, and I loved the whole day 😍 One of my favourite photos from the day, the young guest attempting to play the piano, the bridesmaids posing for a photo on the steps, Elmores’ cosy, warm wedding breakfast room, filled with moody candlelight & fairy lights, different angles of the couple walking to their reception area, and their showstopper of an entrance! 🎉
